I hope this Friday is finding all of you well.
I am finding that I am suffering mildly from a post-vacation hang over. I have admittedly been a bit lonely this week. After spending 10 days together as a family, my hubby left for the whole week and my kids went back to school. I am very much looking forward to me kids being home with me for the long weekend and my hubby to get home today.
I am excited for the next few weeks because the next 5 to 6 weeks is one of the favorite times for our family…
Sap’s a runnin’! More to come….
( I must admit this picture is killing me- when did my girls grow up so much?)
So, I am getting right into the sharing today…
This first thing I am SOOOOOOO in love with. I have mentioned before that I have a love for all kinds of handwork – embroidery, crewel, needlepoint, crochet – all of it. I am currently especially obsessed with embroidery. I am planning on some sort of project soon – we will see how it goes! So, when I found this being featured at Shannon Berrey Designs, I had to share it.
Please visit Shannon Berrey for more information.
Next, I want to share the beautiful kitchen remodel at Eclectically Vintage. Please visit Kelly for the full details.
And to continue my embroidery obsession, please visit Adventures of our Fami-ly, to learn how to embroider paper.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I am wishing each of you a fantastic weekend!
And if you haven’t yet, please enter the Shabby Apple Jewelry Giveaway.

Hi Laura,
I saw your comment on Sasha’s blog, lemonade makin’ mama and just wanted to encourage you.
I grew up in the Catholic church too but back then they didn’t have classes about Discovering Christ or about having a relationship with Him. I accepted Christ at 18 in college,( 34 years ago) and the Lord has led me to a different church. But it’s really about the relationship with Him and not so much where you go to church. I pray that the class you and your husband are taking will help you to discover Christ and that you will find what you are looking for. I love the name of your blog Finding Home, it has a spiritual side to it. We are all on a journey to finding our eternal home. May God bless you and your family. PS I grew up in NY too, and miss it, living in TX. PSS love your blog too!
Thanks so much for featuring my kitchen!! Looks like I’m in some good company – but unfortunately I can’t even sew a button so I really appreciate all the skill that goes into sewing and embroidery. And, how fun is that to collect syrup from that tree – my girls would love that!!

Your comment about embroidery reminds me how much I love it too. I have a whole dresser and then some of old lace, handkerchiefs, towels, sheets, aprons and other needlework. I can’t help but admire the effort and skill put into some of my pieces. Nothing says vintage like old linens and lace.

I am on an embroider kick too, I really want to learn how to do it! I bought a kit at Joann’s the other day but was dumbfounded by the directions… so maybe I can find a childrens one somewhere, lol. Love your blog!

You’ve featured two of my favorite blogs! My fellow blog friend Kelly and her spectacular kitchen remodel (we shared a Jersey bond) and my Chicago blog friend Sarah (who I met up with her and a few other Chicago area bloggers for dinner a few weeks back) …
